                        Solid Biomass Fuel
Solid biomass is a source of energy from materials including palm oil waste, wood, sawdust, and crop waste, which can be used directly or processed into briquettes and pellets. |

                        Palm Kernel Shell
Palm kernel shells (or PKS) are the shell fractions left after the nut has been removed after crushing in the Palm Oil mill. Kernel shells are a fibrous material and can be easily handled in bulk directly from the product line to the end use.

Palm kernel shells are versatile and have multiple uses; It can be used in its natural form for fuel at power stations, as a clean alternative to coal, to form activated carbon or to pave roads.

                        Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB)
Empty fruit bunches (EFB) are what remains of the fresh fruit bunches after the fruit has been removed for oil pressing. Empty fruit bunches are a type of mill waste which is very valuable for farmers because: It provides nutrients; It increases the soil organic matter content of the soil.

The EFB can be shredded and processed into EFB fibre and Long Palm Fibre. With additional processing it can also be converted into value added pallets –a solid fuel with higher calorific value.

                        Mesocarp Fibres
Oil palm mesocarp fibres is the biomass residue obtained from the oil palm fruits after the extraction of palm oil. It is usually left as waste in the palm oil mill or utilized in generating power as boiler fuel producing steam.

                        Wood Chip pellet
Pellet fuels (or pellets) are biofuels made from compressed organic matter or biomass. Pellets can be made from any one of five general categories of biomass: industrial waste and co-products, food waste, agricultural residues, energy crops, and virgin lumber.

Wood pellets are the most common type of pellet fuel and are generally made from compacted sawdust and related industrial wastes from the milling of lumber, manufacture of wood products and furniture, and construction.
